The Issue

There is a need for a standardised comprehension program that is both fun and easy for students to use.

We advocate equitable education through specialist classroom resourcing for a 21st century student. 

Our Product

Library Boxes, a comprehensive multi-level, multi-text type, reading comprehension kit.

Books: For new readers, a book can be daunting, kids tend to prefer smaller and shorter reading.

School Library: Equipping a library with a range of grade appropriate books specific for varying comprehension levels can be a monumental task for
schools in PNG.

Levels: In a class students are at different levels of comprehension but are
usually taught at the same level.

Progression: Students are not addressed
at their individuals levels and improved to their next systematically but are again
clustered into one group in your usual classroom situation.

Comprehension

Three levels of understanding: literal meaning, inferential meaning, and evaluative meaning are not covered
repeatedly for mastery.

Initial TEST: 20 question test assesses individual student’s level of comprehension.

Levels: Using test and teachers guide
child is placed in an expertly graded level.

Independence: Functions as a self-managing classroom resource, fantastic
tool for inspiring independent learning

Authentic: Questions that utilise both literal and inferential strategies. Each
level progressively more challenging then the previous.

Compressed: Broad range of high-interest texts that will engage even the most reluctant reader.

Engaging: One box contains 150/144 carefully leveled cards with captivating text and illustrations.

Levels: Questions that utilise both literal and inferential strategies. The questions are also graded to match the appropriate reading level.

Progressive: Develop and strengthen their skills for negotiating and comprehending textual forms, as well as provide strong examples for them to follow when expressing their own ideas in clearly defined formats.
